The Janek Latosinski Charitable Trust provides grants to individuals and to organisations. Our aim is to help improve the lives of people living with HIV in the west of Scotland. We have previously approved a diverse range of grant applications including:

Funding for an individual to buy a massage couch and towels
Research into the effect of mindfulness on HIV+ people (Glasgow Caledonian University)
Gay Men’s Health Counselling Service Pilot Project (Glasgow)
Terrence Higgins Trust Complementary Therapies Sessions (Glasgow)
Waverley Care Men’s Group Gym Membership (Glasgow)
Funding for a Health Sector Worker to attend a conference on HIV and cognitive impairment
Funding for several individuals to train in Counselling and Psychotherapy
Sponsoring an individual to mountain climb in aid of HIV+ people in Africa

The Janek Trust has no fixed criteria for approving a grant application. Each application will be considered on it’s merits. The format of your grant application is decided by yourself. Once you have emailed your application to us it will be considered at our next trustee meeting . These meetings usually occur three times a year. You will be notified of the outcome of your application. If you are applying as an individual we may require written confirmation of your HIV status from your HIV treatment centre.
We look forward to receiving your grant application!
